H.C.B.B.A. Rules and regulations 2010


1. 1. All State, Federal and Parks and wildlife rules and regulations must be obeyed. Life jackets will be worn when boat is on plane.
2. Anglers under 18 must fish with adult.
3. A member can have his or her child 15yoa or younger in the boat during tournament. If that child wants to compete then they would be required to join the club and pay entry fee.
4. Trailing will be allowed, however everyone leaves host marina at designated start time (safe light).
5. Tournament director may check all live wells before tournament.
6. No fishing within 50 yds of another tournament boat (with out permission from that boat).
7. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed during tournament hours.
8. No live bait will be permitted. All fish must be caught in a legal manner.
9. Any angler who displays poor sportsmanship or breaks any of H.C.B.B.A. rules and regulations will be disqualified.
10. All fish will be measured on a golden rule measuring board.
11. All contestants are allowed to weigh in three fish with a minimum of 14" in length.
12. All protest must be submitted in writing to the tournament director within 5 minutes after weigh in. All contestants subject to a polygraph.
13. A short fish will result in a 1lb penalty, plus the short fish will not be weighed. Dead fish will result in a ½ lb penalty.
14. Ties for prize money will be combined and spilt 50/50.
15. Tournament time is safe light (determined by T.D) to 3:00 Pm.
16. Only the top ten ranked anglers at the end of the regular schedule will qualify to enter the CLASSIC. There will be no replacements or substitutions.
17. All money that is left after buying 7 plagues (Angler of the year, 2nd through 5th place for the year, big bass of the year and classic winner) will go to the top ten anglers in the order of their finish at the CLASSIC. CLASSIC prize money not awarded due to qualifier absence at the CLASSIC will be divided evenly and split among the remaining qualifiers.
18. There will be 5lbs added to total weight if angler fishes all 10 events.
19. There will be 2lbs added to each anglers weight at each tournament.
20. Tournaments will be held the 4th Saturday Jan. through Oct. unless voted by the members present to change date of next tournament. CLASSIC (Top 10 Championship) held 4th Sat in Nov. All tournaments will be held on Cedar Creek Lake. Host marina Fisherman's Wharf Marina.
21. Membership fee $ 15.00 per year. Entry fee $ 40.00 per tournament includes $5.00 on Big Bass and $5.00 on Combo pot. 80% of the $ 30.00 is pd out 1 pl for every 5 entries for heavy stringer weight and 20% goes to the CLASSIC (top ten Championship) and club expenses.
22. The lake is off limits 5 days before the CLASSIC. No monthly off limits. NEW RULE FOR 2008 (Rule #23 by Jan 26th member vote)
23.Members who arrive at one of the tournaments late may still fish if they contact another current member and have their livewells checked by that other member prior to fishing. (this rule only applies to current members who have previously paid their membership for the 2009 season.) If this happens, PRIOR TO FISHING please contact the current club Secretary and pledge your entry fee and tell me who checked your livewell. *Once you tell me you are going to fish, you will be responsible for the $40 entry fee for that tournament and must pay prior to the end of weigh-in that tournament day..

NEW for 2010 - angler of the year get full paid membership for next year 2011 10 PEOPLE MAKE TO CHAMPIONSHIP ( but only pay 5 places in championship )
